Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts, 42, has shared her first gym session since undergoing surgery for bowel cancer, proudly displaying her stoma bag in Instagram photos. The former I'm a Celebrity star posed with partner Kate Holderness, wearing a grey sports bra and leggings, and revealed the bag she has named 'Audrey'.
Roberts had colostomy surgery in 2021 to remove a bowel tumour, after being diagnosed with bowel cancer in October. She described the stoma bag as having 'helped save my life'. In her Instagram post, she wrote: 'Today’s FU to cancer… first time in the gym since my surgery.'
She admitted to feeling 'frightened I might get a hernia' but said she 'escaped unscathed'. Roberts also paid tribute to The Wanted's Tom Parker, who died from stage 4 glioblastoma, calling him 'a hero and an inspiration'.
