Sugar Addiction Harder Than Alcohol For Susannah Constantine

Susannah Constantine, the first contestant to be evicted from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! on Friday night, has revealed that her struggle with sugar addiction was more challenging than giving up alcohol during her time in the jungle. The 53-year-old stylist, known for her TV show What Not To Wear, admitted that the lack of sugar in camp was a significant difficulty.

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after her eviction, Constantine said life in camp was made more difficult by fellow contestant Lady C. 'I don't want to single her out, but she's done that herself I guess. It's been like a roller coaster. It's like living in a bipolar atmosphere. She had the ability to bring the camp down or raise it up,' she explained.

Constantine described her eviction as 'bittersweet', adding, 'I am going to miss everyone, I didn’t want to cry. They are such a great group of people. You feel like a limb has been taken off.' She confessed that jungle life was 'so much harder than I expected' but called it 'an incredible experience'.

The fashion journalist backed Union J hunk George Shelley, 22, to win the competition. Earlier, the winners of Thursday's task sent Constantine, Lady C and Yvette Fielding to the Danger Zone, where Lady C attempted to light a fire, boasting, 'Darling, I've lit fires for 14 years in France. I know what I'm doing.'
