Jamie Jewitt's 5-Year Transformation: From Depression & Gut Issues to Thriving
Love Island's Jamie Jewitt reveals 5-year health transformation

Former Love Island contestant and model Jamie Jewitt has stunned his followers by revealing the dramatic physical and mental transformation he has undergone over the past five years.

A Stark Contrast: From Illness to Vitality

The 35-year-old, who found fame on the 2017 series of the ITV2 show, shared a powerful video montage on Instagram this week, contrasting his current self with his health in December 2020. In the 'before' clip, Jamie faced the camera with a shaved head and an untoned physique, candidly listing his struggles.

"Me in December in 2020; Gut issues, arthritis pain, low testosterone, depressed, unfit, unwell," he stated, adding that laughing at himself was a coping mechanism. The footage then cut to a remarkably different image: a topless Jamie, now sporting a toned, muscular body and visibly healthier, brighter skin.

Dispelling the Myths of Ageing

In a lengthy accompanying caption, the father-of-three challenged the common misconception that declining health is an inevitable part of getting older. He reflected on his own experience of making excuses while his mental and physical state deteriorated after he turned 30.

"Gut issues, aches and pains, joint problems, these things ARE NOT just a part of ageing," Jamie wrote emphatically. "I fell for the same bulls*** making excuses for myself. I was miserable and getting worse. Mentally and physically." He declared that now, at 35, he feels better than ever, with his joint pain, gut issues, and depression all resolved.

Sharing the Blueprint for Recovery

Jamie, who is married to fellow Love Island star Camilla Thurlow and is a proud dad to daughters Nell, 4, and Nora, 2, and 11-month-old son Brodie, has channelled his experience into a project aimed at helping others. He credits a complete lifestyle overhaul for his recovery and now shares his insights through his Revive & Thrive podcast and associated method.

Describing the project as his "passion," he explained its mission is to offer genuine help through education, motivation, nutrition, and smart supplementation. "To cut through the bullshit, sift through the lies. Take others on a journey like my own," he added, encouraging followers to engage with the @reviveandthrivemethod Instagram account.

He has previously revealed that a celebrity boxing match loss against former TOWIE star Dan Osborne was a turning point, forcing him to confront his poor physical condition and unhealthy habits during training. Furthermore, becoming a parent initially led him to neglect his own wellbeing in favour of quick, easy foods while prioritising his family's needs.

The inspiring post was flooded with support from fans and famous friends alike. His wife Camilla, 36, liked the post, while former Love Island winner Nathan Massey commented "He’s back" with supportive emojis. Other followers praised his "amazing transformation," with one insisting he looked "20 years younger." Jamie's journey from a place of chronic illness and low mood to one of strength and clarity stands as a powerful testament to the impact of dedicated lifestyle changes.
