Anti-snore pillows have emerged as a popular solution for those seeking quieter nights, and a recent expert test has crowned the Levitex Pillow as the best option. The pillow, designed by sleep posture expert James Leinhardt, who has worked with NHS trusts across the UK, uses foam technology to support the head and neck, keeping airways open and reducing snoring.
During a multi-month trial, the Levitex Pillow was tested for at least three weeks per model. The medium size was described as 'luxurious', with users reporting reduced snoring, relief from neck tension, and even less pain from an old hip injury. The pillow is available in four sizes to accommodate different body types.
Snoring occurs when airflow is restricted, causing tissue vibrations. Anti-snore pillows work by aligning the head and neck to reduce pressure on airways, often by encouraging side sleeping or elevating the upper body. Studies show side sleeping can significantly reduce snoring by minimising airway compression.
Other tested pillows included the Silentnight anti-snore pillow, which was approved by the British Snoring & Sleep Apnoea Association and found to reduce snoring frequency and volume by approximately 50 per cent. The Simba hybrid pillow, with interchangeable layers, also performed well for side sleepers. However, the Levitex Pillow stood out for its expert backing and noticeable results.
