This Morning presenter Josie Gibson has stunned fans by revealing her dramatic five stone weight loss while celebrating New Year's Eve on a beach in Thailand. The 40-year-old star looked radiant and full of energy as she danced the night away, showcasing her incredible body transformation in a stylish green outfit.
A Radiant New Year Celebration
Josie Gibson welcomed 2026 in spectacular style, sharing joyful videos from a beach party in Phuket. The television personality was captured grinning from ear to ear, dressed in a cropped green halterneck top and matching trousers that highlighted her newly honed figure. With her hair in beachy waves and comfortable flip-flops, the former Big Brother winner appeared happier and more relaxed than ever.
She posted the clip to her Instagram with the caption: "The new year warm up, Happy new year lovers." The post was quickly flooded with compliments from adoring fans, with one follower writing: "Happy new year to you and your Reggie. You look AMAZING and very slim may I add." Another added: "Happy new year Josie! You’re the most gorgeous & loveliest lady on tv!!"
The Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle
This stunning reveal comes after Josie openly discussed her weight loss journey, emphatically stating she did not use weight loss medication or undergo a gastric bypass. Her approach was refreshingly straightforward: "I got off my big a**e, moved more, ate less and educated myself on what I was stuffing into my body," she explained.
This is not the first time Josie has transformed her physique. In 2013, she shed an impressive six stone, dropping from a size 20 to a size 8-10 and releasing two fitness DVDs. After the birth of her son, Reggie, now seven, in 2018, she overhauled her diet again, cutting out refined sugar. She also had a tummy tuck procedure in 2016 to remove 6lb of excess skin.
Becoming a mother shifted her perspective significantly. "I realised there were more important things to focus on in life, rather than losing weight and hating my body," she has said.
A Much-Needed Break for the Soul
The Thai holiday followed a period where Josie admitted to feeling "emotionally burnt out" before taking a break from her This Morning hosting duties over the festive period. She credited the trip with rejuvenating her spirit.
"Coming to Thailand has been so good for the soul," she shared on social media. "I came emotionally burnt out and the energy here is so special its making me feel ready for anything. I am so grateful for life love and incredible connections."
Now, looking healthier and happier than ever, Josie Gibson's New Year celebration marks not just the start of 2026, but a triumphant milestone in her ongoing commitment to health and wellbeing. Her journey serves as an inspiration to many, proving that sustainable change comes from dedication and a positive mindset.
