Boots has announced changes to its stores across the UK, as it grows its weight loss support this summer. The health, wellness and beauty retailer has launched new GLP-1 zones in more than 220 of its UK stores, featuring a curated range of products to help with some of the common consequences of losing weight.
Products for weight loss support
It said these included products across gastro and gut support, skin elasticity, hair-loss, sleep, energy and nutrition, helping customers find products that can support at every stage of their journey.
Jamie Kerruish, chief healthcare officer at Boots, said: “For some, a weight loss journey can often be complex, but by carefully selecting products that provide all-round support and making them easy to find in our stores, we can best help customers and cater for what they need.
“We continue to grow our weight-loss offering both digitally and in-store, expanding the range of clinically proven options that can be tailored to an individual's preferences, lifestyle and personal needs. Our holistic offering covering before, during and following treatment seeks to ensure customers have everything they need to make long-lasting, sustainable, changes that can improve their health outcomes.”
In-store treatment service
Across selected stores, Boots also offers a private in-store weight loss treatment service, subject to eligibility and availability, providing access to advice and GLP-1 treatment for people living with obesity and those who have struggled to lose weight through lifestyle changes alone.
The service operates alongside the existing weight loss support and expertise offered by Boots digitally through Boots Online Doctor. For more advice or to understand more about weight loss treatment, customers can speak with Independent Prescribing Pharmacists in stores.
