This Works' Advanced Red Light System, a device for scalp and body, is currently reduced by £100, bringing the price from £244 down to £144. The system has sold out twice since its launch and arrives with three red-light power serums that the brand says last up to six months, plus a complimentary red light duo body wrap valued at £100.
What does the red light system target?
The device is engineered to enhance hair density and address body concerns such as cellulite, scarring, loose skin, neck wrinkles and abdominal firmness. According to the brand, its wavelengths support scalp condition and follicle function to create the optimal environment for stronger, fuller-looking hair.
For body use, This Works suggests regular use of the wrap three to five times weekly. Skin may show noticeable improvements as early as one week, with optimal results coming from an established routine. The brand states users may notice softer, more comfortable skin and visible improvements in luminosity and radiance.
The Red Light Power Serum is designed to work with the body's natural biology to support photobiomodulation, the process by which red and near-infrared light interact with cells to aid energy production, renewal and repair.
What the panel reported
This Works reports a panel of 22 participants tested the system over 12 weeks. Of those using the body wrap and serum, 73% said their hair looked healthier.
One participant said: "I still feel amazed by the results I am seeing, my hair is hardly falling out (I do still have some days with more shedding, although most days there is virtually nothing). My hairline actually looks and feels fuller and for the first time in years, my hair actually feels like it is getting some weight to it and is starting to grow."
The same participant added: "Even my hairdresser is amazed by the difference. I have had a few days in the last month where I have had really great sleeps after using the device too, although as a whole I wouldn't say that my sleep is much better overall. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has lost confidence in themselves because of thinning hair and I most definitely agree that This Works!"
