Eva Amurri, 40, reveals breast reduction results: 'Feeling in the right body'
Eva Amurri reveals breast reduction surgery results

Eva Amurri, the daughter of Hollywood icon Susan Sarandon, has publicly shared the transformative results of her recent breast reduction surgery. The media personality, 40, stated the procedure has finally allowed her to feel "in the right body" for the first time since her teenage years.

A Decision Two Decades in the Making

Amurri underwent the surgery in April 2025, reducing her bra size from a 32F to a 32C. She revealed that the desire for the operation had been with her for over twenty years, but fear of judgement held her back. "I gaslit myself into thinking I didn’t have to feel totally comfortable in my body," she admitted candidly.

Marking the occasion before the procedure, she shared a light-hearted photo of a cake decorated with the words "bye bye boobies." By May 2025, weeks into her recovery, she posted an update showing her new silhouette, writing that the hardest parts of healing were over. "I was suddenly feeling like I was in the right body for me since I hit puberty," she expressed. "It was like staring a whole new chapter of life."

Freedom from Physical and Mental Strain

Speaking to Page Six at an event for Connie Britton's show The Motherhood in April, Amurri could not contain her joy. "Oh my God, I'm so happy," she said. "I feel like they've never looked this good in my entire life — even when I was 18." She described the profound sense of liberation, stating, "It’s so freeing and amazing to feel so comfortable in my own skin, to really look at myself and see myself proportional for the first time."

The star explained the significant impact her previous cup size had on her life. She noted that extremely large breasts affect a person both physically and mentally, leading to self-consciousness and insecurity. "They hurt your back, they're hard to clothe, and most importantly: you can't take them off and take a break," she detailed. Motherhood, she added, caused further fluctuations that contributed to drooping and sagging.

A Response to Past Criticism

The surgery follows less than a year after Amurri faced a wave of online criticism over her wedding attire. In June 2024, she married chef Ian Hock in a striking strapless Kim Kassas gown that showcased her bust. The look drew negative comments from trolls who suggested her breasts should have been "put away."

Amurri clapped back at the time on Instagram, humorously zooming in on a wedding photo and writing, "Feel free to screenshot this for later." She had previously defended her "size 32F" breasts for simply "minding their business." This experience, coupled with her lifelong discomfort, seemingly cemented her resolve to pursue the reduction after turning 40, a milestone that gave her the courage to do "scary things" for her own well-being.

Now on the other side of the procedure, Eva Amurri's message is one of empowerment and self-acceptance. She concludes that living how she wants in her own body was unequivocally "WORTH IT," offering a public glimpse into a deeply personal journey towards alignment and comfort.
