Lisa Faulkner Reveals Early-Stage Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Lisa Faulkner, the 54-year-old television presenter and actress married to MasterChef star John Torode, has revealed that she recently underwent surgery for early-stage breast cancer. The announcement came via an Instagram video on July 2, 2026, after her noticeable absence from social media in recent weeks.

Successful Surgery and Radiotherapy Ahead

In the video, Faulkner explained: "I just wanted to come on because I know I've been quiet on here. The reason being, that I've had to have surgery because I've had the very early stages of breast cancer. I had surgery two weeks ago and it was quite a big op." She confirmed that the operation was successful, with results showing "they've got everything out so it's all clear." Faulkner added that she will require radiotherapy treatment in the coming weeks.

Faulkner, who co-presents John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen with her husband, expressed gratitude for early detection: "I just wanted to say don't put them off, go, because they found this and without that mammogram it wouldn't have been picked up. Thank you to our wonderful NHS and the fact we can have these mammograms and we can get treatment early."
