In a candid social media post, Faulkner explained her recent absence online. 'I know I've been very quiet on here, reason being I have had to have surgery for the early stages of breast cancer,' she wrote on Instagram. She underwent surgery two weeks ago, describing it as 'quite a big op' but confirmed that 'it's all good and I've my results back and they've got everything out. So it's all clear, and I just need now to have some radiotherapy in a few weeks.'
Grateful for NHS Mammogram
Faulkner expressed deep gratitude for attending her routine screening, which is offered to women aged 50 to 70 on the NHS. 'I just wanted to say don't put them off, go, because they found this and without that mammogram it wouldn't have been picked up,' she urged. 'Thank you to our wonderful NHS and the fact we can have these mammograms and we can get treatment early.' She added that she is healing well and feeling much better.
From Actress to TV Chef
Faulkner is widely recognized for her acting roles in Holby City, The Girl Before, and EastEnders, but she pivoted to a culinary career after winning Celebrity MasterChef in 2010. She later hosted Channel 4's What's Cooking? and co-presents John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen with her husband, John Torode, whom she married in 2019.
