Lisa Faulkner Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Undergoes Surgery
Lisa Faulkner Diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Has Surgery

Lisa Faulkner has been diagnosed with breast cancer, she announced on Instagram on Thursday, July 2. The presenter revealed she has already undergone major surgery and will require radiotherapy.

Lisa Faulkner's Health Update

In a video posted to social media, the star of John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen said: "I know I’ve been very quiet on here, reason being I have had to have surgery for the early stages of breast cancer. I had surgery two weeks ago, it was quite a big op but it’s all good and I’ve my results back and they’ve got everything out. So it’s all clear and I just need now to have some radiotherapy in a few weeks."

She added: "I just wanted to say I’ve got a bit of healing to do but I’m good. I’m well and feeling so much better and I’m so grateful I went for my mammogram. I just wanted to say don’t put them off, go, because they found this and without that mammogram it wouldn’t have been picked up."

Faulkner rounded off her update by thanking the NHS: "Thank you to our wonderful NHS and the fact we can have these mammograms and we can get treatment early." She was quickly flooded with messages of love and support from celebrities including Kate Lawler, Emma Barton, Catherine Tyldesley, Tamzin Outhwaite, and Nicole Appleton.

The news comes shortly after Faulkner returned to the stage for the first time in over 20 years, appearing in the touring adaptation of the 1992 film Single White Female alongside Kym Marsh.
