Doctor's 'Simple' Cooling Tip for Sleeping in Heat Used in Hospitals
Doctor's Cooling Tip for Sleeping in Heat Used in Hospitals

A former NHS doctor has revealed a simple cooling tip for better sleep during hot weather. Dr Jonny Betteridge, an aesthetic doctor and founder of JB Aesthetics, shared the method in a TikTok video.

The Doctor's Tip

Dr Betteridge explained that in hospitals, ice packs are placed on major blood vessels—neck, underarms, or groin—to rapidly cool patients with high fevers. He finds the armpits most effective. He recommends wrapping two small ice packs in a thin cloth or gym top and placing them under the armpits while lying on your side, combined with a fan.

Social Media Response

The video gained thousands of likes. One commenter said: "Great tip and thank you. Didn't know this." Another added: "I love this! Definitely trying."
