Casualty: Dylan Reports Stevie Over Cover-Up, Career at Risk
Casualty: Dylan Reports Stevie Over Cover-Up

Casualty spoilers follow for Saturday's (June 13) episode, now available on BBC iPlayer and airing on BBC One at 8:35pm. Stevie Nash's (Elinor Lawless) world has been turned upside down after former friend and colleague Dylan Keogh (William Beck) made a complaint about her following an unexpected discovery.

Stevie's Secret Relationship Exposed

Dr Nash, as viewers know, has been sleeping with Matty Linlaker (Aron Julius) after they grew close in the wake of Kim Chang's (Jasmine Bayes) tragic death. Matty made it clear he was falling for Stevie, who clearly didn't feel the same. Spooked by his admission, she decided to end the relationship last week via text message. The situation worsened as, at the time of writing the text, Stevie was having a heart-to-heart with old pal Flynn Byron (Olly Rix), and it was clear feelings were igniting between them.

This week's visit to the ED saw Matty wake up in his car hungover, not taking Stevie's rejection well. Stevie reiterated her stance on their break-up, and Matty ultimately backed down until he learned of Stevie and Flynn's night out at the bar, putting two and two together.

The Morphine Overdose Cover-Up

When tending to a patient, Matty very publicly snapped at Stevie, much to the horror of Dylan, who told him off for speaking to his colleague in such a manner. But the scales fell from Dylan's eyes when he learned that Stevie was the woman Matty was having a relationship with and that he covered for her when she accidentally administered a morphine overdose to a patient. Matty assured Dylan that he had the situation under control and would deal with it himself, subsequently drawing a line with Stevie, sharing a heart-to-heart as he urged her to believe she's worth falling for.

Complaint and Inquiry

It seemed the situation had been dealt with until Stevie was summoned to Flynn's office, where he told her a complaint had been made about her making a serious and near-fatal mistake, as well as allowing a junior staff member with whom she was having a sexual relationship to help cover it up. Flynn said this amounts to sexual coercion, leaving Stevie floored as she was relieved of her duties for the day and told there would be an inquiry. As she left the office, Dylan looked over with a particular expression, confirming he was the one who informed Flynn about her secrets.

Is this the end for Stevie's career? Will she be able to come back from this? And how will Matty react when he learns the situation was taken out of his hands by Dylan?

Casualty airs Saturday at 8:35pm on BBC One or streams from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
