Apprentice's Rochelle Anthony Hospitalised with Suspected Stroke

Rochelle Anthony, the entrepreneur who rose to fame on The Apprentice in 2023, has been rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected stroke. The 34-year-old beauty salon owner shared the alarming news with her Instagram followers on Thursday, posting a photo from an A&E ward bed while connected to medical apparatus.

Sudden Symptoms and Hospitalisation

In her post, Rochelle explained that she was undergoing examinations after abruptly losing function down one side of her body. She wrote: "Dolls, I am in A&E with a suspected stroke." Outlining her symptoms, she continued: "Stress and trauma are crazy triggers for serious conditions. I have no use of my left leg and left arm."

The salon proprietor apologised to clients whose bookings would need to be postponed while she focuses on recovery. She added: "I am so sorry for any clients I need to reschedule. Please bear with me." She concluded by informing followers she would be taking a break from social media while receiving care, requesting that anyone needing contact reach out to her salon instead.

Previous Health Crisis in 2024

This health emergency comes two years after Rochelle's previous medical crisis. In 2024, she disclosed that she had suffered weeks of excruciating pain before doctors identified two gallstones trapped in her bile duct. The stones were too large to pass naturally and required specialist intervention, despite Rochelle having already undergone surgery to remove her gallbladder and 19 gallstones the year before.

Encouraging others to seek medical help if something feels wrong, she revealed that she had made multiple hospital visits before eventually receiving a diagnosis.

Understanding Stroke

A stroke is a medical emergency that occurs when blood flow to part of the brain is cut off. According to the NHS, typical symptoms include sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body, facial drooping, speech difficulties, and confusion. Anyone experiencing these symptoms is advised to seek emergency medical assistance immediately.

Rochelle's Rise to Fame

Rochelle shot to prominence after making it to the final of The Apprentice in 2023, where she presented her hair salon venture to Lord Sugar. While he eventually decided to back winner Marnie Swindells' boxing gym instead, Rochelle's enterprise flourished after the BBC programme. Clients made journeys from all over the nation to her Milton Keynes salon, The Dolls House.
