Kim Kardashian has been seen rating the dance moves of Strictly Come Dancing contestant Chris Appleton during their reunion in London, as the 2026 series prepares to launch. The American reality star gave her friend and hairstylist a score of 2 before upgrading him to an 8 on a second attempt.
SKIMS launch and London reunion
Kardashian was in London this week to celebrate the opening of her brand's first European SKIMS flagship store on Regent Street. During her trip, she was also spotted exploring the city on Lime bikes with her boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton.
Her time in the UK also allowed her to reunite with Leicester-born Chris Appleton, who is known globally for styling celebrities including Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez. Appleton has signed up for this year's BBC One dance contest, which begins with the pre-recorded launch show on Saturday night (September 19).
Scoring the dance moves
While helping Kardashian with her dark, glossy hair at the SKIMS store launch, Appleton gave her a preview of his newly learned dance moves and asked her to score them. She was not overly impressed at first, saying he did not do well under pressure, before giving him only a 2 because she said he was "cute".
Appleton then tried again, and Kardashian scored him an 8. At the end of the video, he joked: "It doesn't look as good here!" He captioned the video on Instagram: "Kim was a tough judge."
Support from Kardashian
The reunion comes after Appleton was asked about the possibility of Kardashian appearing in the Strictly ballroom during an interview on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday (September 15). He said: "People ask me this all the time. She sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and said, 'Break a leg!' She's been so incredibly supportive. She's just said, 'I'm so proud of you,' and it's really nice to know that I have that support.
"Because a lot of people think I'm American, but I've just had my career in Hollywood over the last few years. But I'm originally from Leicester, I'm a British guy, and this is like my homecoming. So it's lovely that I have that support."
