The exchange, which has since gone viral, saw Louisiana Senator John Kennedy challenge CDC Deputy Director for Policy and Communications, Susan Monarez, on what he characterised as 'absurd' and 'not scientific' policies that kept American children out of classrooms for prolonged periods.
