Trisha Goddard Shares Hopeful Health Update Amid Cancer Battle
Trisha Goddard's positive cancer scan results

Beloved television personality Trisha Goddard has shared an uplifting health update with her followers, revealing positive results from recent scans amid her ongoing battle with cancer.

A New Year's Revelation

The former talk show host, who is 68, underwent a brain scan just before the New Year and received the results swiftly via a medical app on her phone. Goddard took to Instagram to share the news, posting images from the hospital and expressing immense relief.

Goddard was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and was later given the all-clear. However, in 2024, she disclosed a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer, also known as metastatic or stage four breast cancer. In a previous interview with Hello! magazine, she candidly stated the condition was "not going to go away."

Living with a 'Life-Limiting' Illness

In her detailed post, Goddard explained that MRI and CAT scans are a regular part of her treatment regimen for metastatic breast cancer, alongside frequent blood tests. She described her medical team's approach as a constant game of "Whack-A-Mole" with cancer cells.

"Depending on results, my treatments and medications are constantly changed to outwit them," she wrote. The presenter expressed deep sympathy for others awaiting results, stating her heart goes out to them.

Reflecting on her journey since the recurrence, Goddard highlighted a significant shift in medical terminology. "Scientists and the medical world have re-classified metastatic cancer to being a LIFE LIMITING illness, for good reason," she noted, citing new drugs, treatments, and medical breakthroughs as sources of hope.

An Outpouring of Fan Support

The update, which came shortly after she celebrated her birthday on December 23, was met with an overwhelming wave of support from fans and followers. Her comment section flooded with heart emojis and messages of joy.

One supporter exclaimed, "Oh, such wonderful news!!! Happy New Year, Trish!!" while another added, "Happy 2026, Trisha, and many, many more." Others called the news a "Fab" New Year's present and wished her peace and continued healing for the year ahead.

Goddard also used the platform to thank the technicians, radiologists, doctors, and staff at her radiology centre for their care. She accompanied her positive news with a joyful video of herself dancing in front of a Christmas tree, truly having "something to celebrate."
