Former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed how a straightforward home improvement – replacing her old storage heaters with modern metallic wall radiators – has transformed her property. The 49-year-old shared the results on Instagram Stories, captioning one photo: "Eventually switched my ugly storage rads for these… could not be happier."
The images showcased different rooms in her home, including a bedroom painted dark blue with a wooden dressing table, two mirrors, and a patterned cushioned chair beside the new radiator. She wrote: "Dreamy radiators… it's transformed the place. No more storage heaters." Another photograph showed a radiator in a room with pale grey walls and wooden flooring, featuring a patterned chair with a pale blue cushion.
Outhwaite, who lives with her partner Tom Child and daughters Florence and Marnie, has previously shared glimpses of her interior design flair. She has filled the property with vintage finds and has carried out upcycling projects, including converting an old cabinet into a bathroom sink unit with a marble top and gold taps.
During the coronavirus lockdown, she also showcased a neon sign reading 'Let's Stay Home', similar to one owned by Tom and Giovanna Fletcher. She captioned the post: "Hope you're all doing ok and staying safe and staying home."
