Millie Mackintosh has revealed a breast cancer scare after discovering a lump on her left breast. The 34-year-old former Made In Chelsea star immediately booked an appointment with her GP.
Following an inconclusive ultrasound, she was referred for a biopsy, which she said sparked significant health anxiety. Under NHS guidelines, patients with symptoms that could indicate cancer receive a two-week urgent referral to a specialist.
In a social media post on Thursday, May 23, Mackintosh detailed her struggle with anxiety while awaiting results. Despite having no family history and being in good health, she said her mind spiralled and she struggled to sleep.
The results ultimately confirmed a benign lump, likely caused by hormonal changes, which did not require removal. Mackintosh described the relief as 'an elation I had never felt before' and used the experience to encourage others to perform regular breast checks.
She directed her 1.3 million followers to resources from the charity CoppaFeel!, which focuses on early detection for young people. Mackintosh, who has two daughters with husband Hugo Taylor, has previously spoken about sobriety and body image issues.
