Love Island star Demi Jones has shared a moving update on her health journey, more than two years after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The 25-year-old, who will appear on the upcoming Love Island: All Stars series, spoke about how the experience has transformed her outlook on life.
In an interview, Demi revealed that she has been cancer-free since December 2023 and feels her body has undergone significant changes. 'It's definitely changed me as a person and made me so much more confident,' she said. 'I appreciate things so much more now.'
The reality star, who first appeared on Winter Love Island in 2020, expressed her desire to be a role model for young people. 'I hope I can be an advocate for cancer awareness,' she stated, adding that she wants to show that personality matters more than appearance.
Demi also admitted she would be a 'nervous wreck' if former contestant Ovie Soko walked through the villa door. Love Island: All Stars, featuring past stars including Georgia Steele and Chris Taylor, premieres on ITV and ITVX at 9pm tomorrow.
