Dr Nair's mother, Dhanya Nair, was first diagnosed with gall bladder cancer in 2018. The family watched helplessly as the disease progressed, with Dhanya passing away in 2020 at just 63 years old.
"We never imagined lightning would strike twice in the same family," Dr Nair explained, his voice heavy with emotion. "The same cancer that took my mother would later claim my daughter."

In 2022, the family's world shattered again when Dr Nair's daughter, five-year-old Raya, began showing concerning symptoms. Medical tests revealed the unthinkable - she too had developed gall bladder cancer.
