Baywatch actress Nicole Eggert, 54, has shared a powerful new photo on Instagram showing the scars from her ongoing cancer fight. The former star, known for playing Summer Quinn on the iconic beach drama, posed in a white lace corset and ripped jeans, smiling at the camera while reflecting on grief in her caption.
Eggert was diagnosed with stage two cribriform carcinoma breast cancer in 2024. She underwent eight months of chemotherapy and radiation before having a mastectomy and reconstruction in August 2025. She also revealed she had a hysterectomy to prevent the cancer from spreading, after tests showed early signs of more cancer.
In a separate post, she lifted her black T-shirt to show scars from the hysterectomy. 'We can give in to our fear and anxiety, or we can surrender to this great mystery with courage,' she wrote. 'Full hysterectomy eliminates at least seven different types of cancers.'
The mother of two first noticed something was wrong when she felt 'terrible pain' in her breast and experienced sudden weight gain. She told People magazine that after her diagnosis, she felt alone but later appreciated time alone with her body during treatment.
Eggert shaved her head before chemotherapy in March 2024, helped by her youngest daughter, Keegan. She said telling her daughters about the cancer was heartbreaking, especially for 12-year-old Keegan. 'The look on her face when I told her it was cancer…my world shattered,' she recalled.
