The recall includes:
- Waitrose Essential British Free Range Large Eggs (6-pack)
- Waitrose Love Life Fresh Spinach (200g)
Customers who have purchased these items with specific batch codes are urged to check their packaging immediately.
Health Risks
Salmonella infection can cause severe gastrointestinal symptoms, including:
- Diarrhoea
- Stomach cramps
- Fever
- Nausea
Vulnerable groups such as young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
