A patient's dinner at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank has gone viral online after social media users gushed over the 'fabulous' food. The meal, shared to the Rate My Plate NHS Hospital Food Facebook group, has drawn widespread praise.
Three-course meal wins praise
The photo shows a generous plate of steak pie with a large piece of pastry, golden roast potatoes and brussel sprouts. The patient was also served a bowl of soup to start and a tub of ice cream for dessert.
The post was captioned: "My dad's dinner at Golden Jubilee Hospital, Clydebank Scotland." It has since gone viral for all the right reasons, with over 6,000 likes from Facebook users who agreed the hospital's food is delicious.
Patients share their experiences
One former patient replied: "The food is amazing in there, that's where I had my heart operation last year." Another added: "I used to work there and the food was always really good quality. I can't say the same for other hospitals."
A third commented: "Had both knees done there, the food is fabulous. In fact everything about the place is amazing." A fourth wrote: "Food in there is great. I spent a week in there in 2021 and I didn't want discharged." Others added: "Top of the range for a hospital" and "That's a 10."
Not the first praise for Golden Jubilee
The user who posted the snap confirmed her dad enjoyed his meal in the comments. It's not the first time the Golden Jubilee has received praise for its food on the page recently; another user shared a snap of their roast beef dinner, writing: "Meals were perfect every day."
