A Leicestershire bakery has taken the internet by storm with its chocolate bombes that create a cup of hot chocolate in under 20 seconds. Wildflower Cakes, based in Glen Parva, produces spheres of chocolate filled with ingredients that burst out when hot milk is poured over them, releasing cream and marshmallows to the top.
The bombes are available in a range of flavours including dark, milk, white, mint, orange, Caramac and Baileys. A standard chocolate bombe costs £1.50, while luxury flavours are £2.50. Each bombe comes in an individual box tied with twine, making them a potential gift option.
A video posted on Facebook showing the process has been viewed over 1.7 million times since the weekend. The overwhelming response has prompted the small bakery to promise a new website for customers, initially planning only local sales but now looking to offer UK-wide delivery.
Many fans expressed interest in using the bombes for Christmas Eve boxes. The bakery stated that the website would go live this week, urging customers to prepare their orders.
