Supermodel Heidi Klum has given her fans a glimpse into the remarkably healthy eating habits that help maintain her famous figure, sharing what she calls the 'breakfast of champions.'
A Model's Morning Meal
On Tuesday, the 52-year-old German beauty posted a video of her morning meal, served elegantly on a blue-and-white plate. This is no typical fry-up or bowl of cereal. Instead of American staples like Raisin Bran, Eggo Waffles, or scrambled eggs with sausages, Klum opts for a nutrient-dense bowl estimated to be around 150 calories.
Her breakfast consists of a colourful array of fresh vegetables including avocado, tomato, raw onions, lettuce, and celery, accompanied by a single boiled egg. For a small indulgence, she includes half a slice of dark brown pumpernickel bread with a thin layer of butter.
Pumpernickel, a dark, dense rye bread traditionally made with coarse rye flour, is a breakfast staple in Klum's native Germany.
Fan Reactions and Professional Pursuits
The revelation of her modest meal sparked immediate reactions from followers, with comments ranging from 'No wonder she's so thin' to observations that 'This is more like lunch than breakfast.'
This dietary insight came on the same day Klum shared content from a professional photoshoot in Los Angeles, where she showcased a sizzling outfit with matching thigh-highs. The Vogue model was styled by Jennifer Lopez's personal stylist Rob Zangardi, with makeup by Linda Hay and hair by Jennifer Yepez.
Klum was also photographed in a striking red ensemble featuring a sweetheart neckline top and matching tailored trousers. The activity on her Instagram Stories hinted at a potential collaboration with musician Diplo, as they appeared together in her posts.
Embracing Age with Confidence
Recently, Klum has been vocal about her positive perspective on ageing, suggesting that societal attitudes have evolved for the better. She told People magazine that she believes society has become 'more welcoming of wrinkles' and that it's now acceptable to be older.
'I feel like we're more welcoming of wrinkles and rolls on our body,' Klum shared. 'Being accepted at every age is amazing. That we've changed and come all that way.'
The America's Got Talent judge, renowned for maintaining one of the best bodies in the entertainment industry, expressed that she doesn't fear 'age-shaming or body-shaming.'
'For me to be older, it doesn't matter,' she stated. 'I don't have this age-shaming or body-shaming thing. I feel like everyone should do what they want to do. I like to run around sexy — even now at 52.'
Klum has been posting what many would call 'thirst traps' since long before social media existed, noting she's 'been photographing nude or in lingerie since 1992, way before Instagram.'
She encourages other women not to 'hide' once they reach 50, challenging what she calls 'the biggest misconception about being in your 50s - that you are off the shelf.'
'You're not off the shelf,' Klum insists. 'We are very much on that shelf for everyone to see. Don't hide in your 50s. Beauty is ever-changing, and I'm here for the change. If it's always the same, life is boring.'
The model is married to 35-year-old musician Tom Kaulitz, whom she describes as a 'great man.' She has dismissed criticism of their age gap, suggesting that such comments often stem from 'spitefulness' or jealousy about her fortunate life circumstances.
