Chef Reveals Secret Ingredient to Transform Tinned Baked Beans

A chef has shared a simple hack to elevate tinned baked beans from lacklustre to restaurant quality. Ian Theasby, from plant-based cooking duo BOSH, recommends adding a splash of Henderson's relish.

Henderson's relish is a plant-based alternative to Worcestershire sauce, which often contains shellfish. Theasby suggests heating the beans in a pan to thicken the sauce, then adding the relish and black pepper. Serve on buttered sourdough toast for a quick, satisfying meal.

Theasby also recommends BOSH's Nooch nutritional yeast, which adds a cheesy flavour to beans on toast. This inactive yeast is available at Sainsbury's, Ocado, Morrisons, and Amazon.
