A.P. Deauville has voluntarily recalled more than 67,000 cases of its Power Stick roll-on deodorants after the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found deviations from current good manufacturing practice regulations.
The recall, initiated on July 10, covers three products: over 20,000 cases of Power Stick for Her Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant in the 'power fresh' scent, over 22,400 cases of Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant in 'spring fresh', and more than 23,400 cases of Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant.
The affected products were sold at Walmart, where a three-pack cost $21, and Dollar Tree, where a 24-pack was $30. They were also available on Amazon.
A.P. Deauville, which also makes shampoos, conditioners, lotions, body washes and facial wipes, said no other products are affected by the recall. The Independent has contacted the company for further comment.
Meanwhile, the recall comes amid a broader rise in product recalls in the US. In 2024, there were around 300 food recalls linked to nearly 1,400 illnesses, with 487 hospitalisations and 19 deaths, according to a report from the Public Interest Research Group. Separately, Danone US recently recalled all available YoCrunch products after customers found sharp plastic pieces in the topping containers.
