Coronation Street Star Tracy Shaw 'Really Positive' After First Chemotherapy Session

Coronation Street actress Tracy Shaw has shared an update on her cancer treatment, saying she feels “really positive” after completing her first day of chemotherapy. The 52-year-old, best known for playing Maxine Peacock on the ITV soap, revealed her breast cancer diagnosis to Instagram followers in April.

In a post on Wednesday (27 May), Shaw described the side effects of her initial treatment, noting that everything she eats tastes “horrible and like metal”. Despite this, she maintained an optimistic tone, expressing gratitude for the care she is receiving.

Shaw concluded her message by sending love to others undergoing chemotherapy and praising the “angel” nurses looking after her. “I don’t know how they do it,” she wrote.
