Users of the weight loss drug Mounjaro are speaking out about an 'undiscussed' side effect: an emotional slump during the middle of treatment. The drug, a tirzepatide injection used for type 2 diabetes and weight loss, is now sold in UK supermarkets like Morrisons and Tesco.
TikTok user @Swedish_Sandra described the 'slow middle' phase as a period between before and after photos where progress feels stagnant. 'This phase feels quiet — not the start, not the finish, just the slow middle where everything is shifting but the big change isn't visible yet,' she said in a recent post.
Other users echoed her frustration. One commented: 'You have hit the nail on the head here. I have been struggling for the last month wondering if all this money is worth it. Everything has slowed.'
