Manchester Mum's Cholesterol All Clear After 2.5 Stone Loss

A mother-of-seven from Manchester has been given the all-clear on her cholesterol after losing two-and-a-half stone using a weight loss app. Sarah Glascoe, 43, weighed 14 stone before starting her journey with the Simple app in July 2025.

Sarah said she had tried 'countless diets and fitness plans' over the years but nothing worked long-term. After discovering Simple, she lost 36 lbs (2.5 stone) and dropped three dress sizes. Under her GP's advice, she has reduced her blood pressure medication and stopped taking cholesterol tablets altogether.

'I'm sleeping better, feeling healthier inside and out, and happier than I've been in years,' she said. The app uses a personalised plan based on a quiz, with features including food logging, an intermittent fasting tracker, a NutriScanner, and daily workout plans. It also includes an AI coach called Avo and an interactive 'furry friend' named Blinky to keep users motivated.

Sarah still aims to lose another stone to reach her goal weight, but she already feels the benefits. 'I could walk farther without needing my asthma inhaler, and exercise began to feel easier and more enjoyable,' she added. Simple currently offers new users 80% off weight loss plans with the code 'REACH'.
