GB News presenters Ellie Costello and Alex Armstrong halted Wednesday's programme for a breaking news update on Jeremy Clarkson's recent cancer diagnosis. Speaking with Entertainment Editor Alex Davies, the trio discussed the news, which was confirmed in the season five finale of Clarkson's Farm.

Davies explained that Amazon typically releases preview screeners to media and journalists for upcoming series, but for the final episodes, they did not. Clarkson took to Instagram to tease that the last two episodes were incredibly sombre, leading fans to believe he was referencing a tuberculosis outbreak at Diddly Squat Farm. Instead, Clarkson announced he had been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in May.
Clarkson's Diagnosis and Treatment
Davies clarified that the cancer had been caught early and could be treated. The episode ends with Clarkson in hospital undergoing treatment, which he says goes awry. Despite this, Davies noted he has seen Clarkson at recent events, on his feet and speaking with farmers and fans. Clarkson signed off the series by saying, "If it goes well, I'll see you in season six, and if it doesn't, I won't."
Fan Reactions
Following the episode's release, fans flooded Instagram with messages of love and support for the 66-year-old presenter. One fan wrote, "We're all rooting for you, Jeremy. Stay strong, mate. You mean so much to so many people. Take care of yourself." Another added, "Just seen the news, Jeremy, thoughts are with you, and I hope you're doing okay!! Sending love and happiness to you and Diddly Squat!!"
A third fan commented, "As a survivor of the big C when I was a teenager, I know it's going to be tough for @jeremyclarkson1 but if there was ever a man strong enough to beat it, it's Clarkson. Now it's just a matter of time until we are told the cancer is in remission and we can look forward to many more seasons of Clarkson's Farm! Please stay strong @jeremyclarkson1 as the world will be praying for you."
