Danniella Westbrook to Undergo Further Facial Surgery in Turkey

Former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook has announced she will undergo another facial transformation surgery in Turkey this weekend. The 49-year-old actress said she feels nervous but excited, as she has been waiting five to six years for the procedure.

Westbrook, who turns 50 later this year, has had multiple reconstructive operations to address the effects of a past cocaine addiction and osteoporosis, which caused her face to 'collapse'. In 2018, she had a rib insertion procedure after osteoporosis damaged her cheekbones and gums.

Speaking at the Rise of the Footsoldier premiere in London, Westbrook said: 'I'm off to Turkey at the weekend. I'm not feeling too bad. A bit nervous but I'm excited because it's been five or six years of waiting now. It's about time.'

The actress also revealed she is doing personal training with former footballer Miles Addison to get in the 'best shape of my life' this year. Westbrook's drug battle has been well-documented; she had her nose reconstructed in 2002 after her septum collapsed from cocaine use, and she has undergone multiple rehab stints.

Westbrook first appeared on EastEnders in 1990 at age 16, playing Sam Mitchell. She has returned to the role several times, with her last stint from 2009 to 2010. Earlier this month, she shared a photo of facial injuries from a 1998 car crash, captioning it: 'Had more lives than ya average Pussy cat #blessed.'
