A viral clip of Donald Trump walking towards his aircraft has sparked fresh online debate, with one person comparing him to a "shopping cart with a broken wheel." The US President was setting off for Texas and Oklahoma, the first stops on his 32-day campaign tour, when footage of him walking towards the aircraft began circulating on X.
Footage Sparks Online Speculation
Some users claimed the 80-year-old appeared unsteady and was "zig-zagging" as he crossed the tarmac. One wrote: "OMG - Trump can't walk in a straight line on his way to Marine One." The short video has since racked up 34,000 views, with another person claiming Trump's "right leg isn't cooperating."
A third asked: "Has he lost all his peripheral vision? He can't see the edge of the path until he's almost walked off, it's also why he never knows who is sitting next to him?" Another joked: "They're gonna have to put rails on that sidewalk to keep him from going off of it." A fourth added: "He's like a shopping cart with a broken wheel."
Questions Over Pre-Boarding Behaviour
Some viewers also questioned Trump's behaviour before he boarded. One person wrote: "I'm impressed he can remember to salute that Marine." Another asked: "When he stopped to talk, was he asking if he got on the right helicopter?"
Earlier Health Concerns
Earlier this week, new health fears erupted around the US President after footage appeared to show Dr Mehmet Oz helping him as he sat down at a public event. Mr Trump, 80, was preparing to sign an executive order after speaking at the launch of America.gov in Washington on Tuesday when Dr Oz reached towards him as he lowered himself into his seat.
The moment quickly spread online, with social media users questioning whether the president was having difficulty moving. However, the footage itself does not establish why Dr Oz reached out or whether Mr Trump was suffering from any medical problem. Mr Oz, a physician and administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, was among officials attending the event.
The latest incidents come after months of scrutiny of Mr Trump's physical condition. The US President underwent a medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in May, his third known check-up since returning to the White House. In a memorandum released by the White House physician, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella said Mr Trump remained in "excellent health" and was "fully fit" to serve. The examination involved 22 specialists and included cardiovascular, neurological and other assessments.
