Tributes Pour In for Beloved Mental Health Counsellor
Heartfelt tributes are being paid to Sarah Forrester, a 55-year-old mental health counsellor, whose death in Swindon has prompted a murder investigation. The incident occurred on Friday evening at a mid-terrace house on Baydon Close in the Moredon area.
Investigation Details and Police Statement
Wiltshire Police officers responded to reports of a disorder at the property. Upon arrival, they discovered Ms Forrester was not breathing, and she was tragically declared dead at the scene. A 13-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been released on police bail.
Detective Chief Superintendent Guy Elkins stated that the investigation is being led by the major crime investigation team. He confirmed, "We are not looking for anyone else in connection with Sarah’s death", while urging the public to refrain from speculation. A heightened police presence remains in the area as inquiries proceed.
A Life Dedicated to Helping Others
Sarah Forrester worked as a counselling co-ordination manager for the Swindon-based mental health charity, The Kelly Foundation. The charity released a poignant statement, describing themselves as "heartbroken at the sudden loss of our lovely Sarah".
They remembered her as "an incredible person, kind, thoughtful, considerate, caring and funny", who was completely committed to the charity and devoted to her two young children. The charity added that her loss is a hugely traumatic event for her colleagues, friends, and most of all, for her family.
Out of respect for her grieving family, the charity will not be making any further comment at this difficult time.
