Tucker Genal, a TikTok star with 2.5 million followers, has died by suicide at his California home, according to the Los Angeles medical examiner. He was 31.
Hours before his death on Thursday, Genal posted a video on TikTok featuring a photo from each month of the past year, captioned: 'Wish I could relive some of these moments twice.' The final image was edited in black and white, and the audio included the words 'over and out.'
Genal's brothers, Carson and Connor, with whom he frequently collaborated on videos, announced his death in a heartfelt Instagram tribute. Carson wrote: 'You were my best friend and an even better big brother... You were the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for.'
Genal was known for skits, viral challenges, and food-related table games with his brothers. He previously shared relationship content with ex-girlfriend Cortney Gibson, but the couple split earlier this year. Gibson has not commented on his death.
Fans expressed shock and grief online, with many noting the sombre tone of his final post. One commented: 'This was his goodbye post.' Another wrote: 'You truly never know what someone is going through. Check on the people you love.'
