Teen Left Brain Dead After TikTok Challenge to Donate Organs
Teen Brain Dead After TikTok Challenge to Donate Organs

A 15-year-old girl who dreamed of TikTok fame has been left brain dead after attempting a dangerous viral challenge. Leah Presson participated in the Benadryl Challenge, where teens record themselves taking excessive doses of allergy medication to achieve a high. The Oklahoma teen suffered a seizure and cardiac arrest, and is now in intensive care with no brain activity.

Family's Decision to Donate Organs

Her devastated father, Richard Presson, has chosen to donate her organs. He said, "Leah is a very great person and she always wanted to be TikTok famous. It hurts to see that my daughter is now laying lifeless because of some challenge that couldn't be stopped." He hopes to save up to 90 lives through organ donation.

Medical Warning

Dr. Ryan Brown warned that the challenge is extremely dangerous. "When you take Benadryl in excess, it can lead to seizures and cardiac arrhythmias, which can cause cardiac arrest and brain death." He urged parents to monitor their children for unusual behavior and empty pill bottles.

The family has 72 hours before organ harvesting, and an honor walk will be held to celebrate Leah's gift of life.
