The family of a beloved teaching assistant from Cannock has been left devastated after she died by suicide following a difficult period. Michelle Fisher, 42, was a familiar and friendly presence at West Hill Primary School, where she had worked for almost a decade. She leaves behind three children, Morgan, 22, Jake, 18, and Harvey, 13, who are said to be trying to process the shock of their sudden loss.

Her family also remembered her deep affection for her Labrador, Luna, and her passion for watching her son play football. She was a regular at Hednesford Town FC matches, where she cheered on 'The Pitmen' and enjoyed helping out by serving tea and coffee to fellow supporters. Saturday afternoons at the ground were among her favourite times of the week, surrounded by friends and family.
Michelle's death has left a huge void in the lives of those who knew her. Her absence is felt constantly in quiet moments and family routines, her relatives said. To honour her memory, Hednesford Town FC will hold a minute's applause before their match on Saturday, March 14. A GoFundMe page has also been set up by her loved ones to raise funds for her funeral.
