Mollie King Breaks Silence on Health Scare After Collapse

Mollie King has broken her silence after being taken to hospital following a collapse on her bathroom floor. The former Saturdays singer turned BBC Radio 1 DJ described the experience as a 'tough time' as she works to move past the ordeal.

Mollie Thanks Fans for Support

Mollie, who previously revealed her illness to followers on Instagram, returned to the platform to express her gratitude. She told fans she was 'blown away' by their messages of support.

'I wanted to say how blown away I've been by all of your messages over the past 24 hours. So many of you have taken the time to get in touch and send your well wishes, and it honestly means the world,' she wrote.

'It's been quite a tough time,' she confessed, according to the Mirror. 'I don't know if you're the same, but when something happens out of the blue and my body doesn't do what I expect it to, it's very easy for my mind to go into overdrive, trying to find answers and overthinking every little thing.'

Return to Radio After Two Weeks

Mollie's statement came just one day after she made her return to radio, following a two-week absence due to serious health concerns. Before her comeback, she had opened up to followers about her recent struggles.

She revealed: 'After coming home late from work, I suddenly collapsed unconscious on the bathroom floor at 4am, hitting my head and face as I fell. It was a huge shock and I ended up being rushed to A&E.'

The 'Forever is Over' singer expressed gratitude that her fiancé, cricketer Stuart Broad, was present. 'I keep thinking how grateful I am that I wasn't on my own and had Stuart to bring me round after I fell.'

'A huge thank you to Amy and Hannah at St George's Hospital who were absolutely incredible, stitching me up so well, and even managed to see past the Looney Tunes pyjama top I arrived in (Must buy new pyjamas!). It's been a real wake up call that I need to make some time to get my strength back, not just for my own health, but so I can be the best version of myself for my family too.'

'Yesterday was my first day doing anything social. After what has felt like a very long two weeks, it was amazing to get out and spend time with my girls.'
