Married At First Sight star Mel Schilling has celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Gareth Brisbane, sharing a series of throwback photos on Instagram. The 53-year-old relationship expert posted three images highlighting key moments in their relationship, including their first meeting with family and a pre-wedding date night before their 2018 Bali ceremony.
In her caption, Schilling wrote: 'Happy anniversary to this guy. No 7 Year Itch here. 7 years married, 14 years as soul mates. I don’t believe in luck, but we finally found the partners we both deserve.' She described Brisbane as her 'mate, opposite, rock, motivator, soft place to land, and comedy partner'.
The couple met through dating website eHarmony and welcomed their daughter Maddie, now 10, before tying the knot in Bali in 2018. They later held an intimate ceremony in Melbourne in 2021 with just six guests, including two witnesses and a celebrant.
Meanwhile, filming for the 2026 season of Married At First Sight has begun, but production insiders report a crisis behind the scenes. Sources told Daily Mail Australia that several cast members have dropped out at the last minute, and a strict new vetting process has led to others being cut after background checks. Producers are scrambling to find replacements.
