Katie Price has opened up about her son Harvey's health, revealing the 30-stone teenager is at risk of a heart attack if he continues to gain weight. The former glamour model, 45, spoke on her podcast 'The Katie Price Show' about her worries for Harvey, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic disorder causing insatiable hunger and a slow metabolism.
Price described Harvey's weight as a 'massive worry for me at the moment', adding that he would be on the 'verge of a heart attack' if he kept putting on pounds. She admitted to needing a break after spending four weeks caring for him, and has since flown to Dubai to be with her husband, businessman Lee Andrews.
In the podcast episode aired on April 30, Price detailed a recent day out with Harvey, calling it 'full on'. She said: 'I took him to TK Maxx. I just can't. He's just full on, isn't he? 'How long? How long? How...'' She also visited her mother on the Isle of Wight, noting that Harvey 'hates where he is' – his supported accommodation – and wants to move to Littlehampton.
Price previously revealed plans to get Harvey on the weight-loss drug Mounjaro and to join a gym, aiming to make him 'very, very healthy' so he can ride rollercoasters. In a YouTube video, she made a pinky promise with Harvey to focus on healthy eating, though she acknowledged he says this 'every year'. Harvey, who is due to move into a new home near Price, remains 'just under 30 stone'.
