Katie Price has expressed concern for her son Harvey, admitting that his behaviour is getting worse at home. Speaking on the podcast she co-hosts with her sister Sophie Price, the 47-year-old glamour model discussed an incident when her eldest son, aged 24, visited her residence.
Harvey, who has autism and Prader-Willi Syndrome, caused damage to the kitchen. Prader-Willi Syndrome is a rare condition that can cause feeding problems in infancy and lead to issues such as obesity later in life. Katie revealed she is increasingly nervous about his future.
During the podcast, Katie said: "Harvey went back. Bye kitchen door and then he threw the bench at the door. Then he threw a pint glass at the window that shattered everywhere." Sophie asked when Harvey would return, and Katie responded: "Well this is the thing. I was going to get him back Friday, but the trouble is, now when I get him back he's getting worse to take back... Normally I'd have him back for three days, four days or two weeks."
Katie added: "And I'm like even if I have him back for four days. And I have asked now that while we're waiting for his place in Littlehampton, I'm waiting for the response, is it worth him staying at mine? Would they get a carer for him to be at mine because then he's happy because it's so distressing when he has to go back and it's not nice. I've got to do something."
This is not the first time Katie has spoken publicly about Harvey, who lives in supported accommodation. On the Katie Price Show podcast, recorded after he left to go back home, she described the struggle: "I got Harvey the day I landed and had him for two weeks. He went back today with a big struggle because he didn't want to go back. I've got three wet mattresses, a smashed window glass because Ben took him out and Harv didn't want to get out of the car. [He] found one of my perfume bottles in the car and decided to smash the windowscreen with it."
She continued: "I'm missing him tonight, but I'm not because I'm having a nice bath after this. It's an absolute joke, he hates where he is, he wants to be in Littlehampton. The guy's on holiday, when he gets back he's giving me an update. Harvey is so frustrated, he just wants to be here."
