Katie Price has issued an update on her son Harvey Price’s health, after critics slammed him for “always being topless”. 24-year-old Harvey appeared on the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast alongside his mum and her sister Sophie, and was spotted walking behind the pair while not wearing a shirt.
Health condition explains clothing preference
Harvey lives with autism, ADHD, Prader-Willi syndrome and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness – and Katie says his health is the reason he prefers not to wear clothes. She explained: “Can I just say something? I do get a lot of criticism online, that Harvey is always pictured without his top on, or walks around without his top on.
“It is a pure autistic trait, that they like to take their clothes off. He doesn’t like to wear clothes. So when he’s at home, he just strips. So that’s why he’s always got his top off at home. So there you go. I thought I’d clear that up.”
Living arrangements and weight concerns
Harvey is now living with his mum full-time after initially moving into his own supported flat in Southampton. Katie explained that the family is “still waiting for his next placement,” which will be “up the road” from the rest of his family.
She said: “But where he is in Southampton, he just doesn’t like being there. When he’s there, he texts me, ‘I hate it here, Mum. I just need you. I want your cuddles, hold my hand’.”
Harvey’s weight has been causing concern for mum Katie, and earlier this year it was confirmed he would start taking weight loss injections Mounjaro, after he reached 30 stone.
