Her statement appears to conflict with the Australian Radio Network's (ARN) explanation that Henderson had given notice she could not continue working with Kyle Sandilands. ARN told the ASX that Sandilands had been accused of serious misconduct and the show was taken off air.
Henderson indicated she would take legal action, alleging widespread misinformation about her departure. She became emotional two weeks ago after Sandilands mocked her interest in astrology and accused her of being unfocused.
ARN suspended Sandilands for 14 days due to his misconduct, and his contract may be terminated if he fails to remedy the breach. The broadcaster also faces enforcement action from the regulator over previous offensive content.
