Helen Flanagan has shared an emotional update after a tough day parenting, saying she is 'sick of arguing' with her children despite having an 'enormous amount of love' for them.
The former Coronation Street star, 36, spoke candidly about life as a single mum on social media after splitting up with footballer Scott Sinclair. She co-parents her three kids with the former Swansea star, 37.
Emotional Instagram Story
Beginning her Instagram Story with a sweet video of her spending time with her 11-year-old daughter Matilda, Helen also revealed the highs and lows of motherhood. She said she was tired of feeling like the 'wicked witch' and that she had not been able to reply to any of her work emails or texts from friends while looking after her children.
Captioning photos of her planting kisses on her children's heads at bedtime, she wrote: "Tired Mum. Overstimulated. Sick of the arguing. No words for how much I love them. Due my period. Feel like I’ve been the Wicked Witch of the West."
She added: "Mum guilt. Love them so much. Not been able to get back to any of work email or [Whatsapps] or my friends," signing off with a melting face emoji.
Cryptic TikTok post
Helen's latest update comes after she appeared to make a dig at someone she knows well. In a TikTok video posted last week, the Coronation Street star posed in her kitchen to a voiceover audio which described someone as a "stupid p****".
The audio announces: "If you are going to let one stupid p**** ruin your life, then you are not the girl I thought you were" as Helen could be seen laughing to herself in the clip.
While it was not clear who the cryptic post was referring to, the Rosie Webster star has famously blasted her ex Scott on social media a number of times. She was previously fuming after he missed their son Charlie's school play while he jetted off to Dubai.
Split from Scott Sinclair
The former Coronation Street actress and football star were once splashed all over magazine covers, gushing over their fairy tale romance. However, since they split, it has become more of a nightmare, culminating in Helen branding her ex a 'piece of s**t' after he reportedly missed their son's nativity play last Christmas.
Helen talked about how she finally pulled the plug on the relationship with the footballer after struggling to make it work. Speaking to The Sun, she said: "Me and Scott really loved each other, but we were always quietly breaking up and then getting back together, so it had been a long time coming," she said earlier this year.
Admitting they were happier apart, she concluded: "In the end, it was me who decided. I’ll always be sad it didn’t work out and we still have love for each other, but we’re happier apart."
