Singer Conor Maynard has revealed a terrifying health ordeal that left him 'screaming in pain' and requiring hospital treatment. The 32-year-old took to Instagram to explain his absence from social media, sharing a photo of himself on a stretcher.
Maynard, known for hits like 'Can't Say No', said he had been suffering from a bulging disc between his L5-S1 vertebrae. He tried chiropractic treatment and epidural steroid injections, but the pain persisted. Over the weekend, a coughing fit triggered intense pain down his right leg, causing his legs to buckle.
'I was unable to find a position that kept me comfortable, leaving me to scream out loud in pain,' he wrote. The episode caused his girlfriend to panic and call an ambulance. He noted that surgery now appears to be the only option.
The health issue has impacted his daily life, making it difficult to care for his new puppy and impossible to film music content. He also cannot play football or padel. Maynard thanked fans for their support and said he hopes to be 'back to fighting fit asap' and releasing music soon.
