Bonnie Tyler Out of Coma, Still in Intensive Care

The family and team of hitmaker Bonnie Tyler have provided a reassuring update on her health. In April, the 75-year-old Welsh singer, who also owns a home in Portugal, was rushed to hospital after suffering a bowel tear. Following emergency surgery, she was placed in an induced coma due to complications, and reports indicated she required resuscitation.

Positive Signs of Recovery

In a statement released on June 15, her team confirmed: 'Bonnie is no longer in a coma but remains very unwell and in intensive care in a hospital in Portugal. Although her condition is improving, it is a slow process. Her doctors remain confident that she will make a good recovery, but it will take time.'

Tour Cancellations

As a result, all scheduled shows through the end of August have been cancelled or postponed until next year. The team expressed hope that autumn performances would proceed. They thanked fans worldwide for their support, noting that Bonnie is aware and grateful for the well-wishes. The family continues to request privacy, promising further updates as significant developments occur.
