Adele Roberts Shares Shocking Stoma Health Scare Update

I'm A Celebrity star Adele Roberts has shared a shocking health update with her followers, revealing that she spent the night holding her intestine in after a stoma prolapse. The presenter, 47, was first diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2021 after experiencing symptoms while on the popular ITV show.

Adele's Stoma Prolapse Ordeal

Roberts, who underwent chemotherapy and surgery to remove a tumour, had a stoma bag fitted in 2022. She later announced she was cancer-free. However, after completing a fitness challenge for cancer research, she encountered a serious issue with her stoma.

On Instagram, Adele wrote: "Audrey, (my stoma) prolapsed again, been up all night holding my intestine in. Tummy is sore but at least my stoma is staying in my body for now." She explained that the pressure from bowel prep and a colonoscopy caused the prolapse, forcing her intestine out of her stomach wall.

Previous Health Scare

In November, Roberts revealed she had a "concerning lump" removed from her neck, which appeared four years after her cancer diagnosis. The lump turned out to be benign, but she admitted it had been worrying her. She shared her gratitude to the NHS and detailed her experience with the lump and subsequent tests.

Chemotherapy Side Effects

Adele previously opened up about the effects of chemotherapy, which damaged her skin, removed her fingerprints, and turned her tongue black. She described the challenges of not being able to use touch screens or self-checkouts due to the damage to her fingers and feet.

Roberts continues to update fans on her health journey, raising awareness about bowel cancer and stoma care.
