WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson has announced the birth of her first child, a daughter named Poppi, at the age of 50. The former wrestling star and her husband Justin Tupper welcomed the baby via a surrogate, Wilson revealed on Instagram.
In a heartfelt post, Wilson described the arrival as a 'dream come true' and compared becoming a mother later in life to slipping onto a subway train 'just as the doors were closing'. She shared photos of herself with the newborn and her husband at the hospital.
Wilson, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019, began her wrestling career in WCW before moving to WWE in 2001. She feuded with stars such as Dawn Marie and Sable, and also appeared on magazine covers for FHM and Playboy.
Fellow WWE superstars flooded the post with congratulations. Cassie Lee, Nia Jax, Nikki Bella, and Carmella were among those who sent their best wishes, with Carmella writing: 'Oh my goodnessssss congratulations, mama!! So so happy for you.'
Wilson and her husband have not yet shared further details about their daughter or the surrogacy journey.
