Former Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei has opened up about her fertility journey, revealing she suffered a chemical pregnancy while trying to start a family with her boyfriend, Jordan Brook. In a candid update on social media, the 35-year-old said she 'will not give up' as she embarks on a new treatment.
Sophie shared that she and Jordan have started Lymphocyte Immunisation Therapy (LIT), which involves analysing the patient's immune system and administering appropriate immune therapy. She posted on Instagram: 'After 28 months our fertility journey continues. Today we are heading to @fertilysis to start our first round of Lit therapy amongst other treatments. Our biggest leap forwards on our journey in what feels like forever.'
She added: 'As a team we are taking every day, week and month as it comes. We will not give up. Thank you to every single friend, member of our families and everyone else who continues to reach out with kind words and support it really does mean the world. To those who are also in the same boat. Keep going. Keep communicating and keep exploring.'
Sophie previously described the moment she discovered a positive pregnancy test, only for the line to disappear. Speaking on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, she said: 'You're like, oh, I feel a bit sick today. My God, I'm pregnant. So that happened quite a bit. And there was one sad time that I woke up one morning and there was two lines, and I was like, oh my God, there's a line. Am I pregnant? Could this happen?'
She recalled celebrating with Jordan before taking a second test: 'I did it again and I went, oh, oh, the line's gone. That was really weird. Did - did I just see that? Was that in my head? Am I like seeing things? So I looked into it and apparently saw a chemical pregnancy.' Sophie described the experience as a 'hard' point in their journey. She has also mentioned that while she hopes to get pregnant, she is not opposed to adoption.
